First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Ferring Pharmaceuticals.
Quality Intern
It was a very warm interview, they were keen to get to know me. First I introduced myself and then they asked classic interview questions. It lasted 20 minutes at most and was a very friendly process.
- Why did you choose your career path?
- How would a friend describe you?
- Tell me about an accomplishment you are proud of.
Intern
Applied online and got a super quick response within a week for a phone interview. After that, I was invited to the office for a 1-hour interview with two HR managers. Even though I was applying for an internship, it felt like they were interviewing me to be the next CEO. They asked a ton of competency-based questions, which really didn't seem tailored to the internship role at all – like they ask the same stuff regardless of experience level. Some questions were really repetitive, and the whole vibe felt really cold and impersonal. When I asked my own questions at the end, I just got very vague, general answers.
- Describe a situation where you clashed with upper management and how you resolved it.
- Can you share an instance of having a conflict within your team?
- Tell me about a time you disagreed with your management's approach and wanted to do things differently.
Intern
First, they looked at my resume and cover letter. Then, there were a few general questions. Communication with the hiring managers was always positive and friendly through email. The whole process was straightforward and not difficult at all. You just need to show some interest in the pharma industry and they'll be interested. My experience was good and I'm happy to share it.
- What makes you want to join Ferring?
