Behavioral

I had an in-person interview that lasted over an hour with the hiring manager. She mentioned having 2 openings and 5 candidates and aimed to decide within a week. All questions focused on failures, like asking about major mistakes or reasons not to hire me, with no focus on strengths or accomplishments. At the end, she hinted that the team is very tight-knit and enjoys after-work drinks, implying a need to fit that social mold. I never heard back, and neither the hiring manager nor the recruiter responded to my voicemails. The interview felt less about difficulty and more about being discouragingly skewed. It seems they maintain silence for plausible deniability, showing a lack of integrity.

Behavioral Presentation

It was a 3-part interview process. First, there was a video interview where I could re-record my answers as many times as I wanted. Then, I had a phone chat with a recruiter. Finally, the company covered my travel expenses (flight or driving) for a 2-day in-person final recruiting event. This whole experience really showcased Ferguson's values and their team-like culture. I felt genuinely valued as a candidate, and they made sure to accommodate me as much as possible. Since it's a sales position, they were assessing my conversational abilities and how well I'd fit in with the team. They asked the standard situational and behavioral questions.

Behavioral Technical

So there was a 1:1 interview and then a phone interview. I got the impression they were rushing through the phone interview to move on to another thing. They were also 10 minutes late in calling. That was pretty standard situation questions. The 1:1 interview was primarily company based and how comfortable you are with interactions with a variety of people. This interview was more professional than the phone interview with the region recruiter.
