The interview process took about 30 minutes and felt relaxed and comfortable. They were interested in learning about me, my background, and my future career aspirations. I was offered a second interview, but I declined because I didn't feel the role aligned with my career goals. The job is essentially sales-focused, involving getting people to sign up for new plans like Direct TV. The training period is about 6 months, which includes recruiting people at places like Walmart or Costco to sign up for these plans. It appears to be a role that emphasizes pushing sales, with long hours and an unusual work schedule (Thursday-Monday). This might be a good fit for someone who is desperate, skilled at selling something they aren't passionate about, or a recent college graduate.

The interview experience was a mixed bag. On the plus side, I got a quick callback and had a good phone chat that led to an in-person interview. The paperwork they sent over was fun and had some interesting questions. There was also potential for a management role down the line after some sales experience. However, the phone conversation was a bit misleading; I thought I was interviewing for a management training program, not a direct sales job. I ended up waiting over 30 minutes for my in-person interview. The role itself paid just above minimum wage and was entirely commission-based, involving promoting internet service changes to shoppers in places like Walmart.

It was a 3-round interview process. The first round was a 1:1 with the hiring manager, which was brief, mostly to check if I was a basic fit for the position. We connected well, and he invited me back for the second round. The second round was a full day of observing one of his top reps, which gave me a transparent look at what the job entails. The rep I observed showed genuine interest in getting to know me, as we'd be working together. He also shared his personal vision and life goals, showing incredible passion. The third round happened at the end of the observation day. The hiring manager explained the rationale behind their interview process. I realized the path ahead would be challenging, but after the interview, I felt confident that the leadership at Fenix Consulting Group was on the right track, and I wanted to be a part of it.

I found this job on Glassdoor and got a call within two days from a recruiter. They asked me some basic stuff about my past and what I wanted and then set up a meeting with the hiring manager. The first interview was just me and the hiring manager, Sabastian. He asked a bunch of questions and it felt like he was actually trying to get to know me and see if I'd be a good fit, not just like, checking boxes. They said they'd call me back if they wanted to move forward. No call yet, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
