My first interview was informational, and during it, the interviewer saw my Instagram and asked me if I planned to be a stay-at-home mom. They also asked what would happen if my future husband makes more than me. I was shocked, especially since my male friend had the same interviewer and was asked about baseball and golf instead of sexist questions. My resume is extensive, with lots of sales experience, a great education, and I'm captain of a national championship team. I wish they'd asked about that instead of if I'll be a stay-at-home mom. I should have recognized the red flags, but I know that in sales, they value persistence and resilience, so I continued. I went through several rounds of interviews, ride-alongs, essays, and phone calls. However, everyone I spoke with gave conflicting information about pay, benefits, and location. I was told there was a spot in X location, but then told it was filled and they wouldn't need anyone else in the state during my ride-along with someone else. I realized they lacked integrity and accepted my dream job elsewhere, so I withdrew from their process.

It was a super long and hard interview process. First, I had a 4-hour 1-on-1 with the manager. Then, I met with the regional manager one-on-one, followed by another 1-on-1 with a different regional manager. They even came to my house for a meeting with me and my spouse. It felt weird, like applying for a cult.

It was a really long interview process. I had a bunch of initial interviews where we mostly talked about me and the district manager got to know me. Then I shadowed a marketing rep twice, which was cool. After that, I had dinner with the district manager, his wife, my partner, and me. Then I met with the regional manager, and finally the director of field operations interviewed me one last time. So, about 7 or 8 interviews in total over 6 to 8 months. They seem to really value commitment and long-term dedication.
