Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta.
Intern
I've had two interviews with The Fed. One was very technical, which should be expected for IT/Research related positions. Overall, as long as you're knowledgeable on your resume there should be no worries. Would definitely recommend being extremely knowledgeable on a tool/application related to the industry.
- How would you collaborate with a team to manage deliverables under a deadline?
Intern
You start with a recruiter screening call, then have an hour-long interview with the team you applied to. The team is usually super friendly and kind. Be ready to talk about why you want to work there, your experience and qualifications, and what you know about the role of the reserve bank.
- Can you walk me through your resume?
- What is your motivation for wanting to work in Atlanta?
Intern
The interview process was super fast and simple. It had a lot of steps. First, there was a phone interview where they asked me to talk about my resume. Then, a technical interview with a manager from the department I would be working in, asking about specific things on my resume that they'd be involved with. Lastly, an in-person interview with the first person I talked to, asking typical questions like what I'd do in stressful situations.
- How do you handle having many tasks at once?
