First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Federação das Indústrias do Estado de Santa Catarina.
Administrative Assistant
The interview was really nice, conducted professionally and objectively. I had the chance to talk about my past experiences, and the questions were aimed at understanding how I would apply those experiences to the role, if hired. What struck me most was the organization and punctuality of the whole process. I've never been in such a well-structured hiring process, which made the experience even better.
- How do you handle working with people who have different personalities?
- Tell me about an improvement you've made to a work process or procedure.
Market Intelligence Analyst
I applied by filling out a form, CV attachment wasn't accepted. About 30 candidates were approved. Then there was a psychological and cultural fit test (you need 67% to pass), but they don't give you the results. Then they told us only 11 candidates were at least 67% compatible based on their subjective personality criteria; no technical skills were measured at this stage. After that, I had to send in documents: proof of education and a driver's license (?????)? Then came a case study + personal interview. They are hiring for 1 position.
- What are the requirements for this position?
- What is the typical professional experience of those who pass the cultural fit assessment?
- Could you describe the profile of candidates who don't pass the cultural fit assessment?
Fullstack Java Developer
They basically asked me to do a project involving Java, and for the frontend, I could use whatever I wanted. They gave me a weekend for this task, and then they would call me for interviews. The interview itself lasted less than 30 minutes and was a mix of technical and HR aspects. They introduced themselves, I had to introduce myself, then explain the project, and also answer some HR questions. I thought it was a very short time to evaluate anything, not to mention they didn't ask me any technical questions, either because I showed knowledge or because they didn't have time.
- Could you share a negative and a positive feedback you've received and how you handled them?
- Tell me about the biggest difficulty you've faced working with colleagues in a professional setting.
Service Designer
The overall process is quite clear because there's already a well-structured timeline for it. However, in the practical evaluation, candidates don't receive feedback. Another negative aspect is that the interviewers seemed tired and the reception and flow of the interview were quite bad. I understand that there are many interviews on the same day and they were already tired, but they should distribute them over more days. This creates a negative perception of the company and the team.
- Could you present the case from the practical evaluation?
- What are the business feasibility aspects?
- What is the business value proposition?
