The people I met were friendly. When I first applied, I assumed they used Java and the recruiter confirmed Java was primary. During the interview, nobody mentioned they didn't use Java. I didn't pass because I didn't prepare OOD and system design. I applied again recently, as they are a great delivery company in Texas, my dream company. I prepared a lot for OOD and system design. During the recruiter call this time, I found out they use PHP and are migrating to Kotlin. I was shocked and felt bad finding this out after all these years. I met with the manager to learn more about projects. I asked a lot about these topics, and the manager sensed it. I was rejected before the technical rounds I prepared for. I was willing to show my capabilities. I was relieved that it wasn't a good match. I hope they are honest about the tech stack, as some people are passionate about PHP and Kotlin. I accepted an offer for a Java position elsewhere.

  • OOD questions are favored. It used to be a coupon discount system. Now it has changed. Even though I didn't reach the technical interview, I'm sure the questions are related to the Leetcode Food review system using OOD, as mentioned in two reviews.

The hiring process was fast and everyone was responsive. I heard back about my application in about a week, and the interviews wrapped up in another week. The people I talked to were all really nice, so no major complaints. The steps involved were: a hiring manager screening, a coding interview, and a system design interview.

Applied online, then a recruiter reached out to set up a phone screen. The phone screen went well, and the recruiter then set up the first round of interviews. Round 1 was a roundtable discussion with two other engineers and it went great. The recruiter called afterward to say they were hearing good things and would be in touch with next steps. The recruiter then contacted me again to say I was selected for the final round: a virtual onsite. The virtual onsite consisted of a 1-hour meeting with a project manager for general culture fit questions. Then there was a 1-hour coding/system design challenge with two engineers which was very open-ended. Finally, there was a 1-hour meeting with the hiring manager which included some culture fit questions and then random, rapid-fire full-stack trivia questions. A week later, the recruiter informed me that I didn't have the required experience. The recruiter was great and round 1 was fun, but the overall process was a waste of time because it seemed like only the hiring manager's opinion mattered. They could have determined my experience from my resume instead of wasting my time, but I know they won't admit that.
