I had a really chill interview at a coffee shop for a Runner position. There were other people interviewing too, and I sat with a manager and some of the runner support team. They asked me some chill questions and even offered to buy us drinks. Then, I got to shadow a more experienced runner on a quick Favor Delivery run. I just went along for the ride while they walked me through the usual steps. After watching two separate deliveries, that part of the interview was done, and they said they'd let me know soon. I got offered the job the next day.

To start, you apply online and fill out a questionnaire about your car, cell phone, and driving history. If you have a reliable car, a smartphone, and no DUIs, you're on the right path. If you pass the online part, you'll schedule a phone interview using their cool and efficient online site. During the phone interview, they'll double-check the info you gave online. They'll also ask how you heard about Favor and what you know about the company, and you'll get to tell them a little about yourself. This phone interview is quick, under 12 minutes. If it goes well, you schedule a ride-along. You'll get an email with the date and time. Before the ride-along, upload your driver's license, proof of insurance, and driving record (they'll give you easy instructions on how to get this online). During the ride-along, you'll learn how everything works, and they'll get you started really soon after!

Right after I applied online, I got an email asking some questions, probably from a bot since it was 3 AM. I answered them and went to sleep. The next morning, a recruiter said my phone answers were good. Then I got an email with lots of instructions, but they made it easy. I thought it would be hard, but it wasn't. You just have to order your driving record, which costs $6.50, and you can do it online instantly. I thought it might be a scam because I had to pay, but since the website was from Texas, I knew it was legit. The recruiter gave me a good tip to use my phone to take pictures of my license and insurance card, and to take a screenshot of my driving record. Then, you go to a website from the email, and it recognizes you. You just click the button and upload the pictures from your phone. Right after that, I got an email with a link to sign up for training that weekend. The training was 3 hours long, and they offered lots of times, which was impressive. I did mine Saturday morning and started working that same night. It's a bit tricky at first, but it gets easier. You have two trainers: the first one talks to everyone about Favor, how it works, and the money. Then you go out in your car with another trainer who shows you how to do the job. I like this job; it's easy, and the customers are usually nice. I like that I can pick my own hours. I've driven for Uber and another delivery company before, and Favor is much better, pays better, and the people at Favor are much nicer.
