Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Fastenal.
Supply Chain Associate
The interview process was very efficient and transparent, giving me a clear picture of the role and what they are looking for to advance. I really enjoyed how the whole thing went: a thorough phone screening with HR, some great and engaging phone chats with the district and general managers, and then a detailed on-site interview to explore the career path more.
- Can you share an instance where you faced and successfully navigated a challenge?
Supply Chain Associate
It was pretty long and kinda boring. They asked some basic questions, plus some about values and past experiences. Like, tell me about a time you went the extra mile. And what integrity means to you.
- Can you tell me what you know about Fastenal?
- Tell me about a time you had to go above and beyond.
- What does integrity mean to you?
Supply Chain Associate
When interviewing for any role at Fastenal, the process isn't super fast. First, HR does a quick 5-10 minute phone screen. Then, you'll have formal interviews. The first formal interview is with the leadership at the specific location you're applying to. The second one is with a district manager or someone in higher management. After accepting a job offer, a drug screen is required before a start date can be set. This whole thing can take anywhere from 2-6 weeks depending on the job.
- How do you define integrity?
