First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at FARFETCH.
Front End Developer
The process started with an HR interview where I introduced myself and discussed my past work and projects. The HR person was really nice and seemed interested. Then, I had a technical interview that included questions and a live coding session. The final step was another interview with HR to get to know me better, focusing on how I handle work and stressful situations. All the interviewers were great, and I got feedback throughout.
- Can you talk about your past projects?
- Could you answer some generic questions about HTML, CSS, and JavaScript?
- What are your thoughts on GIT flow?
Senior Frontend Developer
They start with a recruiter call asking about what I'm looking for, then a technical interview. If you study a bit, the test is easy. It was on React, focusing on components, and I had to fix a simple bug in the code.
- Can you explain the difference between a function declaration and an arrow function?
Front End Engineer
The hiring process was very fast initially. I was given a technical assignment with five days to complete it. After submission, things slowed down. The interviewer said I passed and would schedule a meeting with the development team. I replied promptly with my availability. However, the interviewer then disappeared from communication channels, ignoring messages and emails. After three months, I received an email stating my application was terminated due to no reply (which was untrue). I responded immediately, clarifying the situation. Subsequently, the same interviewer re-emerged and attempted to schedule another interview, but again failed to attend and disappeared once more. It's now been six months with no further communication.
- Can you tell me about yourself, including your skills and personality?
