Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at FARFETCH.
Data Scientist
We had several interviews. First, an initial interview to check skills. Then a technical interview to assess technical competencies, followed by an interview with the company manager. After that, an interview with the technical team, and finally, a last interview.
- What contribution can I make to the company?
Data Scientist
HR screen call, then a Python and basic stats questionaire, followed by a technical call to discuss ML concepts, another technical call about past projects, an interview about growth potential, and finally a cultural fit interview.
- Can you explain the bias vs variance trade-off?
Data Scientist
This company has a pattern of not communicating with candidates, which is reflected in reviews. I reached the final stages before experiencing this 'ghosting'. I was told 'Someone in HR will be in touch,' but they never were. Despite emailing three times to inquire about my status, I received no response, except for an automated message about a single day of annual leave. This suggests they are actively ignoring external communication. It's highly unprofessional to ignore people outside the organization.
- Can you define what a p-value is?
