Copywriter
I got to the final stage of interviews for this role, but then they stopped hiring for the position. I put a lot of effort into preparing for the three interviews, which included a written assignment. It was disappointing that it didn't lead to anything.
- What grammar rule drives you crazy?
- Can you introduce yourself?
- How many years have you been writing copy for products in a marketing context?
Copywriter
The questions were great, covering both job-specific and general topics where they tested my fashion knowledge. The assignment was relevant to the job and fun, requiring creativity and commercial skill.
- Which brand do you currently admire?
Marketing Copywriter
I sent in my application online and then the hiring manager reached out through email. They thought my CV looked good and asked me to do a translation test, which I had to submit within 48 hours. I heard back about the test results a week later, and then we set up a remote interview. The interview itself felt pretty chill, the recruiter was super nice and seemed genuinely interested in what I had to say. They took notes and asked a bunch of questions. I got an offer and accepted it. They told me to get a TAX number ASAP so they could get my contract ready. But, after I got the TAX number (and even paid for it), they backed out of the offer. They claimed they couldn't afford any more freelancers. Like, they only figured out they were short on funds *after* we'd basically finished the whole process? Total lack of professionalism!
- Tell me about a tough situation you encountered and how you handled it.
- Have you had experience working as part of a team before?
- What makes you want to join Farfetch?
