Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Faraday Future.
Manager
The good: When I asked, the people I interviewed with were upfront that the company was 'chaotic' and 'very high pressure.' The bad: During this time, the company was facing accusations of illegal activities, was exposed by a short seller, and had two class-action lawsuits filed against it. Its stock price, a significant part of employee compensation, fell from $12 to $4.50. Two interviewees who had only been at Faraday Future for a few months left, and they sounded unhappy on our calls. I received an offer, but they wouldn't share any details about their legal and financial issues. It felt like I would be joining a sinking ship, and having Faraday Future on my resume would be a disadvantage due to the ongoing allegations and negative news.
- Can you describe your experience as a manager?
Manager
I had a video interview with the hiring manager. It was okay, but I'm not very confident about the company's future due to some growing pains and internal chaos. After that, I didn't hear back, not even a rejection, which was rude and unprofessional. There are many good EV startups, but I'm not sure about Faraday Future.
- Can you discuss your resume and its alignment with the job requirements?
Senior Manager
After phone interviews with HR and the Director, I had an on-site interview. I was told I'd get a call the next day for a final decision. The lack of feedback was rude, especially since they promised it. This shouldn't happen with a good employer. How they treat candidates shows how they treat employees. Since they disrespected my application, I'll tell people not to work there or buy their products. I want an employer known for respecting candidates. The process wasn't efficient or effective. Four people interviewed me separately in two hours, and they all asked the same questions. After driving two hours and then meeting for two hours, I was ignored. It felt disrespectful compared to their enthusiasm before. The CEO hired his nephew for top management; that kind of environment won't succeed by hiring incompetent relatives.
