First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Fannie Mae.
Recruiting Coordinator
The recruiter I interviewed with forgot about the initial interview call, which was slightly annoying but not a huge deal. I emailed her 30 minutes after the call was supposed to start and didn't hear back until the next day. When we finally connected the next week, she called 15 minutes late and cut the interview short by 15 minutes. I was frustrated with how disorganized this experience was and the recruiter's lack of care.
- Can you tell me about your previous experience?
Recruiter
Started with an initial interview where they really dug into my process and methodology. Having experience in the Mortgage Industry is a big plus. The last interview was more of a test of my general knowledge about competitors and what's going on in the industry. The questions overall were really interesting and made me think. It's important to be ready for each part of the interview.

- Can you explain your approach and process for recruiting?
- Tell me about your past experience in the Mortgage Industry.
Talent Acquisition
The process was very smooth, from the initial phone interview to scheduling the final round. I met with three people who clearly explained the job and what the day-to-day would be like.
