I uploaded my resume and filled out an application for Fannie Mae. This was a basic interview, and honestly, it felt like we were interviewing each other since I'm a business owner with over 25 years in this industry. I'm not sure I want to give up my company, and I'm not sure they pay enough. The only reason I agreed to the interview is that I like to keep my finger on the pulse and see what's available to me and in the job market. I stay updated on trends and educate myself on current programs and the market.

Behavioral Technical

It was a pretty standard process - started with a phone interview, then I spoke with the director, and finally met with the team I would be joining. I had 3 interviews in total before they made an offer. Honestly, one of the Senior Project Managers was chewing gum the whole time and making clicking noises, which was super rude and distracting. It made it hard to concentrate on her questions, and I probably should have seen that as a red flag about her personality.

Behavioral Case

I got contacted by a recruiter in late December for an initial phone screen to go over the job. Then in early January, I went into the office for 3 interviews. Two of them were behavioral, and one was a case study. The case study wasn't too hard, you didn't need to know the housing industry or financial models. It was just to see how I think, process stuff, and give a recommendation clearly and concisely.
