Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Fannie Mae.
Financial Analyst
The interview process involved talking with several finance leaders at Fannie Mae. The main focus was on seeing if I would be a good fit for the team and asking behavioral questions. They also asked specific questions about how Fannie Mae's business works.
- Can you explain Fannie Mae's revenue streams?
Financial Analyst
It was a smooth process. You need to have a good amount of experience to answer the broad questions asked. The interviewers were very smart and kind. The first round was strictly behavioral, and then the next round got more technical.
- What did you know about our organization?
Financial Analyst
The whole process took about two weeks. I had a phone interview with the recruiter first, and she was really nice. Scheduling the interviews was a bit tricky because everyone's calendar was so full. The in-person interviews, I felt, went really well. I managed to answer all the questions they threw at me, and they seemed pretty straightforward. The work environment looked pretty good too.
- Can you explain why you haven't sought other opportunities within your current company?
- Could you describe the purpose of Outer Joins in SQL?
