First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Fannie Mae.
Business Analyst
So first I got a phone call, they asked me about my past experience, specifically about aws and business reporting. Then, they set up a technical interview for me. During that call, they also asked about my salary expectations and my working authorization.
- Can you tell me about your experience with AWS?
- What about your background in business reporting?
- What are your salary expectations?
Business Analyst Intern
The interview process was really smooth and easy. After applying online, I heard back in about 2-3 weeks to set up an online interview. I finished the interview, and they called me the very next day with an offer for the Business Analyst Intern role. The person interviewing me was super friendly. The whole thing wasn't stressful at all and was totally worth it.
- Can you share what some of your favorite college classes have been?
- Describe a situation where a project didn't go as planned and how you managed it.
- What are some ways you've dealt with challenges when working within a team?
Business Analyst
A recruiter reached out about a month after I applied for a Business Analyst role. When she contacted me, she mentioned the position was actually for a rotational analyst program. I went into the interviews expecting questions related to analyst roles, but they were all behavioral. It was a pretty intense interview process with 5 back-to-back 1-on-1 interviews.
- What makes you want to work for Fannie Mae?
- Can you share an instance where events did not unfold as you anticipated?
