First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Fairview Health Services.
Pharmacy Technician
First, a recruiter called me. Then, I had a virtual interview with the hiring managers. They were really organized and used a slideshow to give an overview of the department, hospital, and shift schedules. I felt like we both got our questions answered.
- Can you describe a challenging situation you've faced?
Pharmacist
I applied online and then HR reached out to schedule an interview. After that, I had a chat with the pharmacy supervisor. We talked a lot about pharmacy stuff and working together as a team. They gave me plenty of time to answer everything, and they also followed up to answer any questions I had.
- What's your level of interest in this position?
Pharmacy Technician
Applied online and then got a call the next day to set up an interview for the week after. I had an in-person interview with the HR manager and the Float manager. They asked typical behavioral questions. The two managers did a great job promoting the company and the job. They were both nice and welcoming and the interview was 2 hours long, so I was really surprised when I found out I didn't get the job. They didn't contact me to say I wasn't picked, it was only after I followed up with an email that they put a message in their online application system. As a former hiring manager, I think this is a bad way to find out. It shows they don't respect people and are trying to avoid delivering bad news easily.
- Describe a situation where you had a disagreement with a supervisor.
