Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Fairmont Hotels & Resorts.
Intern
I interviewed with the Director of People & Culture and that was it. They asked me basic questions about what I expect to be doing, why work for Fairmont/Accor, and what difficult challenges I have faced.
- Can you describe a moment that became a memorable experience for you?
Jovem Aprendiz
It was a horrible interview process. It's absurd that they favor people with connections and money over low-income individuals who lack opportunities. Even if it's a hotel that seems to cater to a certain class, that doesn't mean poorer individuals can't have the desire to learn and grow. It's very sad.
- Do you have a referral?
- Do you have thousands of experiences for an Apprentice opportunity?
Intern
I found the internship opening on the Abler website and applied. They contacted me quickly for an interview. It was a group interview, with about 5 other candidates, held in person. It lasted around 3 hours. Afterward, they called me by phone to schedule the second interview, and then they offered me the internship.
- A very relaxed interview where you talk about yourself and your professional experiences.
- We also answered an information questionnaire and handed in our resumes.
