I talked to the recruiter first to get screened. Then I had a call with the hiring manager. It was a good conversation, but it didn't work out in the end. I asked for feedback and they were willing to provide it, which I appreciated because a lot of recruiters don't get back to you these days. No complaints about the process though.

Behavioral Other

I had a recruiter screen and then a hiring manager screen. I didn't make it past the hiring manager screen. The HM screen was behavioral, asking about my past experience and general interview questions. The role wasn't a great fit for me anyway, so I didn't mind it ending there. The recruiting process was a bit confusing: one recruiter reached out, another scheduled the interview, and then a random person sent the rejection email. It felt weird. They tried to make the rejection seem personal, but it was boilerplate and coming from someone random made it confusing. The hiring manager was great though, I enjoyed talking with him.

Technical

A recruiter reached out about an APM role. After a call with the recruiter, I was sent a take-home exercise to complete within 24 hours, which I spent 6 hours on. I submitted my report and data analysis, and was rejected the next day because they'd made an offer to someone else already. It felt a bit strange because they never asked for my resume, and it seems like they might have sourced candidates even though they were close to an offer. Also, others have reported similar experiences of rejection right after the take-home. So, be cautious if Faire recruiters contact you solely for a take-home task without reviewing your resume or profile.
