I got a cold email from the recruiter like three times, and I eventually replied and we scheduled a call. She rescheduled it for the next day though. We had a good talk the next day, then I got a take-home project. It was to build a basic iOS app that gets weather info from metaweather.com and shows it. I spent a few hours on it, it was pretty solid but had a couple small bugs, I sent it in, and then after a few days I got an automated rejection email with no explanation. I asked the recruiter for feedback and got some really picky comments for a simple 2-hour prototype project.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • Could you build an iOS app using the metaweather.com API to display weather, manage loading/error states, and include unit tests as a take-home project?

I got contacted by a recruiter on LinkedIn. There were 3 main rounds: first, an HR screening; second, a take-home assessment; and third, a virtual onsite which included a 1-hour algorithms interview, a 1-hour iOS-specific interview, and a 30-minute culture fit interview. If they were on the fence about any of these three parts of the virtual onsite, they would schedule a fourth follow-up interview.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • Generally, questions similar to LeetCode mediums were asked.

I got a message from a recruiter to chat about the job and company for about 30 minutes. Then, I had another 30 minute chat with the Director of Mobile Engineering. After they liked my profile, I went through 4 interviews with the technical team. They covered a bunch of stuff, like technical topics, if I'd be a good fit for the team culture, and my past work experience. The recruiters and interviewers were really great and involved the whole time, making me feel supported. The whole thing took about 2 months, and it was a really good experience.

Confirmed questions4 questions
  • There was a coding problem similar to what you'd find on Leetcode.
  • We went over a question about systems analysis.
  • They asked some general questions about culture fit.
