So first, I talked with the hiring manager for a behavioral chat, I got asked some behavioral questions like "What is a difficult challenge you’ve encountered?" and "How do you handle conflicts with others?". After that, I had to present one of my past projects, talking through the problem, how I approached it, what challenges I faced, and what the outcome was. Lastly, they gave me a case study on a real-world problem that the data scientists at Faire deal with every day.

Started with a hiring manager phone call. Then, there was a DS/algorithm coding interview. After that, an ML case study interview that included ML coding in a notebook. Didn't have enough time during the ML interview to go over all the steps.

So first up was like this online coding test in Python, basically testing how well I can do data manipulation stuff. Then I had interviews where we talked about my past projects with some senior data scientists. They really got into the weeds about the technical details and what the outcomes were for those projects. It was to check my technical skills, how well I can explain things, and if I'd fit in with the data science team and company culture.
