The interview process at Faire was really great, maybe the best I've experienced, and it was pretty long but worth it. First, you have a phone screening with a recruiter. After that, they send you a mock email assignment so they can see how you'd handle customer situations. Then, the actual interviews start. There's a peer interview, then interviews with two team leads, and then you chat with your recruiter again. If you get past that, you'll interview with an executive, which wraps up the process.
- What qualities do you believe are essential for customer service?
- In what ways do you embody Faire's values?
- Could you describe a community you belong to and your contributions to it?

The interview process was terrible! I was interviewed and failed the second stage because of my internet connection issues. They offered me a second interview the same day, and due to the time difference, I had to sacrifice my annual leave abroad to attend this interview late in the evening. I just found out I failed for 'interrupting the interviewee'. I recommend hiring professional individuals, not people who progressed from the bottom with no experience in recruiting. There's obvious racism in the company as well.
- Why did you choose Faire?
- What is your understanding of Faire?
- Could you summarize your key skills?

The interview process was a bit different because of the pandemic. The company was upfront about potential changes and challenges. It started with a brief phone call with the manager, who mainly discussed the company and the next steps. Then, there was a 90-minute Zoom meeting with three company representatives who seemed genuinely interested in my responses. Following that, an additional round was scheduled with two senior managers. These discussions were a bit more formal but still felt personal and supportive. They were very quick to respond and always encouraged me to reach out with any further questions.
- What are your priorities regarding office culture?
