Behavioral Case

I went through 2 interview rounds before getting to the superday. First, I spoke with an alum from my school, and then with a money associate. I didn't make it past this round, but the next round would have been a superday, where they invite candidates to their office, similar to other consulting final rounds.

I interviewed at Fahrenheit 212 for a Strategy/Creative role in their "Magic" division earlier this year and it was a great experience. I've been a strategy director at brand consultancies for years, focusing on brand strategy but I also have experience leading innovation projects. A friend at Fahrenheit 212 recommended I interview there. I met with the head of "Magic" and was impressed by their unique offering. However, I realized I wasn't passionate enough about innovation to continue. I told the interviewer this, expecting to be dismissed, but he spent nearly an hour discussing my skills and goals. He suggested I consider boutique branding firms and even passed my information to contacts at a UK-based firm for a Head of Strategy role in NY. I had an interview within 24 hours and received an offer a few days later. It was a very serendipitous and generous experience.

Case Behavioral

The interview process started with a phone screener, then two more phone calls, and finally an in-person case interview. It was consistently unclear which part of the business I was interviewing for, with vague terms like "magic" vs "money" used to categorize candidates without clear definitions. The specific role itself was also ambiguous. I incurred travel expenses to London for the in-person interview, which felt borderline rude. Two interviewers seemed uninterested and annoyed, even making a snide remark about my suit. Feedback was very vague. My peers had advised against this company, and I regret not listening.
