Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Faegre Drinker.
Summer Associate
The process started with an HR screener call, which was pretty relaxed. Then, a Partner joined and asked typical interview questions like 'tell me about yourself,' 'walk me through your resume,' and inquired about my preferred practice area.
- Could you discuss your thesis?
- Tell me about yourself.
- Walk me through your resume.
Summer Associate
Had three interviews, each with two interviewers who were a mix of partners and associates. It was all on Zoom. Talked to the recruitment head for 15 minutes beforehand. The conversations were very question-based, not many behavioral questions. They asked a lot about my resume.
- Can you tell me about this experience listed on your resume?
Summer Associate
I had a really nice time interviewing with Faegre Drinker! They were all really nice, considerate, and enjoyable to talk to throughout the whole thing. Most people I spoke with started by asking some get-to-know-you questions about what I'm into, which made it feel more personal.
- They discussed their involvement in firm committees and other non-client work contributions and asked about my past experiences with mentorship and leadership.
- Can you elaborate on your involvement in committees and how you've contributed to organizations beyond just client work?
- What mentorship experiences have you had in the past?
