Applied for the job, and then I received a CodeSignal task. After I finished it, they let me know they reviewed my work and wanted to move forward. They sent me a link to schedule a phone interview. I picked a time but then didn't hear back for a few weeks. I emailed them to check on my application status, but still no response for a bit longer. Finally, I got an email saying my application was declined.

I did an initial Code Signal test, which had 4 problems that got harder. Then a quick 15 min chat with the recruiter about the job and my background, but they didn't leave time for my questions. After that, I had two 45 min technical interviews on the same day. The first one had a LeetCode easy and then a hard problem. The second one involved building a basic React app, which wasn't too hard. The last interview was with the software lead, covering both technical stuff and personality questions. Ended up getting rejected with a generic email, which is frustrating after putting in so much time.

  • How would you find the most efficient time travel destinations for a time traveler, as a LeetCode medium or hard problem?

Coding System Design

The first part was a 2.5 hour chat with a software engineer. They walked me through company procedures and business stuff. Then, I was given a programming challenge to complete online while they were there, but they let me work on it without interruption. The engineer was pretty cool. The next interview was with two group leads, and it involved a problem about system architecture. I did well in both interviews but decided not to move forward because I got other job offers that were geographically nearer to my home.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • Create an API for a sample "store" as a programming task.
  • Design the architecture for managing warehouse orders.
