Project Manager
I got to the first round and had a really tough time with the recruiter. For the initial interview, they had video problems, and we spent about 25 minutes trying to sort them out. Then, the recruiter asked if we could reschedule for later that same day. During the actual interview, she asked a lot of questions that seemed to lean negative.
- In one word, what's your ideal manager like?
- In one word, how would you describe yourself?
- In one word, what's your ideal work environment?
Project Manager
I was approached by IndiHire Consultant for a role. It began with a HackerRank test, which had easy to medium difficulty questions. After passing the test, I was called for a face-to-face interview. I was told to come at 10 AM and that all rounds would be completed the same day. However, the interview started at 11:30 AM and lasted about 2 hours with a discussion on a whiteboard. The HR mentioned I could either come back after lunch or the next day for the next round. Since I was already late for a weekday, I chose to come the next day. The next day had two rounds: one technical and another techno-manager-architect discussion, also on a whiteboard for about 3 hours. No refreshments were offered. The HR then said there would be an HR round after lunch, and she would schedule a video call. She never called, so I followed up twice. She then informed me about one more techno-manager round and said she would schedule a video call. Finally, after more follow-ups, that techno-manager round happened via video call. This was the first time my current CTC and salary expectations were discussed. After this, I sent emails and made calls for a week with no response. Then, after I called, the HR emailed that my candidature was on HOLD. The HR was highly unprofessional, even sending interview invites with other people's email trails multiple times. If you can't meet salary expectations, you should ask upfront before starting interviews. Be transparent and don't waste people's time.
- It was not that great to be mentioned here.
Project Manager
It was situational questions mostly. I had to talk about my past experience that was relevant to the questions asked using the STAR method. These questions were the hardest to answer. You should prepare beforehand and make sure you can talk about the details of your job and how you performed in the past.
- Tell me about your experience with new technologies, using behavioral examples.
