Group Presentation Behavioral

After logic questions, I was invited to a group interview. Even though I'm against this type of interview, I participated and my fears were confirmed: everyone there seems to be a potential candidate for a future Nobel prize winner, they always try to speak no matter what and harm other people when they try to pass on some idea. The recruiters requested a presentation from the whole group which should be put together in 15 minutes. I don't think there's any logic to this, as the dynamic favored those who talk louder and not necessarily those who have the best ideas. The format seemed to reward dominant behavior instead of genuine collaboration, making the environment more a fight for space than a real evaluation of the candidates' skills. Furthermore, the recruiters' lack of preparation became evident in the demand for a presentation in insufficient time, without clear evaluation criteria. This led to a disorganized process, where the quality of contributions was compromised by the imposed urgency. Overall, this experience reinforced my view that group interviews are not effective for selecting the best candidates, as they end up favoring superficial aspects and not necessarily the fundamental skills for the role.

Technical Behavioral

This was a terrible experience, they lied about everything. Total lack of transparency. They were looking for a data analyst but really wanted an architect, engineer, and backend dev. They omit information, and when I said something wasn't in my stack/scope, they used the 'don't you want to get out of your comfort zone?' argument. Yes, it makes perfect sense for me to abandon what I've been doing excellently for 7 years to do something I'm not specialized in. They don't know how to describe their roles (and from talking to the pseudo-manager, I realized the HR isn't the problem). They must be desperate and want to hire anyone to fix their problems and then overcharge them. To top it off, even HR lied about the commute, saying it was easy to walk from the subway, but the place is nowhere and poorly located. They try to fool you with this talk.
