Intern
After I sent in my CV and cover letter, I got an email to set up an interview date. Once we settled on a date, I got a link for a Teams meeting. When the meeting started, there were four people from the company on the call, all from the same team.
- Could you describe the test cases you would create for a browser's password manager system?
Deal Desk Lead
Applied via the website. Had a good initial interview and received an email regarding potential dates for a second round. A week later, I got an email stating my salary range might be too high, which they were investigating with HR, despite the salary range being included in the job description. They said they would get back to me on Friday but never did. It's important to have a salary bandwidth and be open to it; it's unprofessional not to follow up, wasting everyone's time.
- How would you approach setting up a deal desk and managing the transformation from perpetual licenses to subscriptions?
Cloud Engineer
The interview was a bit strange. The interviewer knew a lot, but the questions felt random and factual, not really testing practical skills or how I'd solve problems. It was like trivia, not useful for the job or showing how I'd do things. The interviewer also talked a lot about their own tech knowledge instead of focusing on me. This didn't give me much chance to show what I know. I would have preferred more real-world, scenario-based questions related to the job's daily tasks. That would have been a better way to assess things for both of us.
- Can you start with an introduction, discuss your career path, highlight your skills, and detail your relevant experience?
Software Engineer
The interview process was fast. It started with an HR Screening for 30 mins. Then there was a 90-minute technical discussion that involved a pair programming question. After that, a Manager Call took place for 45 mins. They gave an exploding offer with a 48h deadline. I felt this was too short and they should have discussed things first and asked about my timeline. Also, the lack of performance bonus or other incentives for working hard, and benefits like snacks/massage, don't make a candidate join.
