I had a quick phone call with HR first. Then, I had a one-hour Zoom meeting with the hiring manager. It seemed to go really well, and they explained the next steps: coming in to meet the team and mentioned they'd try to schedule it for the following week. However, after a couple of weeks of silence, I received a generic email saying thanks for applying but they found someone else who was a better fit.

This initial call provided a lot of information about the job and felt like a conversational Q&A, with about 10 questions asked. Then, I interviewed with the hiring manager for about an hour. She went into more detail about the role, and I had extra time for my questions and to share my experiences. After that, I met the team, which helped me understand the department's dynamic and their emphasis on collaboration.
