Wanted to share my interview experience for this company. I was really excited about the role and joining the team, but the interview process was pretty disappointing. The interviewer was really harsh and sometimes confrontational, asking questions that felt like they were trying to catch me out rather than understand my skills. I get that interviews need to be tough, but it felt more demoralizing than helpful. The interviewer was also dismissive, which made it hard to have a real conversation. This kind of approach doesn't really help them see what a candidate can do and says a lot about the company culture.

The whole interview process lasted about a month. The first round focused on basic SQL and Informatica stuff; if you've got development experience, you'll probably find this easy. Round two was pretty intense – make sure you set aside two hours and have pen and paper ready, as it covered many scenario-based questions on Informatica, Teradata (for me), Hadoop, and Unix. The third round was with a practice lead from the US. It was a long but interesting session covering everything from EDW data modelling to advanced Informatica topics and big data implementation. The final round was the most engaging, more like a discussion about real-life scenarios.

  • How do you approach query tuning in Teradata?

I applied through LinkedIn and got a call for an interview at the Exusia office in Pune. There were only 3 rounds, and all were technical. If you are cleared with basic programming and SQL, then you are good to go. Communication also matters a lot. The last round is taken by the COO of the company. If you are confident and good at technical as well as communication, then there are chances of getting selected. The interview process is very fast; they announce the result of each round immediately, so you don't have to wait for a long time.
