After talking to HR on the phone, a video call technical interview was set up. During this round, the interviewer seemed rushed and wanted to get through his questions quickly. He didn't even look at my resume or work history. He just started asking questions based on his own background and knowledge. It’s frustrating because if my resume was good enough to get an interview, I’d expect questions related to my actual experience. So, the whole experience was pretty bad. I was asked about shell scripting, routing, DNS, and other networking stuff, none of which is related to my job or even on my CV, which made it quite boring.

The interview had a medium level of difficulty, focusing on DSA questions, OOPs concepts, and databases. There were 3 rounds. Initially, they asked me to determine if a given number is prime, for which I provided a brute-force solution. Then, I was asked to print prime numbers from 1 to n, and I used an O(N^2) approach. They also asked me to explain encapsulation with a real-life example and to explain the Friend keyword in OOPs and its uses. They inquired about my project, and I gave a brief explanation. Finally, they asked about error exceptions, and I explained them with some assistance and hints.

Extreme Networks came to our college for placements and I got placed. The process included an online test and two interviews, making it 3 rounds in total. The first round was an online test with aptitude and technical MCQs. Aptitude questions were moderately difficult but manageable, while the technical MCQs were hard. The second round was a technical interview where I was asked network-based, linked list, logic-based questions, and about sorting algorithms. This interview felt easy. The final round was another interview that was simple and casual, involving logic-based and general questions.
