Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Extreme Networks.
Quality Assurance Engineer
The hiring process for this quality assurance role was really good. It went smoothly, and the questions were impressive. There were three rounds in total, which was a good way to evaluate candidates. Overall, a positive and well-organized interview.
- Were there questions about digital electronics?
- Did the interview cover networking concepts?
- Were any coding problems presented?
QA Engineer
So for the Associate QA Engineer role at Extreme Networks, I had a three-stage interview process. First up was an online assessment with MCQs covering general knowledge, logic, and problem-solving. Then I had an offline interview where we talked about my resume, my previous work, and projects, plus my hobbies. The last round was all about seeing if I was a good fit and understood the company – we covered why I applied, what I'd contribute, and company culture stuff. It was a mix of online tests and talking about my background and fit. The interviewers were nice and made it pretty chill. Now I'm just waiting to hear back.
- We talked about my resume, past experiences, and projects.
- We also talked about my hobbies and interests outside of work.
Senior QA Engineer
After getting a referral, I had a first telephonic round with HR the same day. I was shortlisted and scheduled for a second telephonic round. The interviewer in the second round was satisfied with my knowledge. However, after waiting 15 days without hearing back, HR informed me via email that I was rejected, without providing any reason.
- Can you explain what data types are in Python?
