I applied online about three weeks ago after seeing the job on Glassdoor. I got a call from the District Team Lead for a quick phone interview where she covered the basics of the job and pay. We scheduled an interview time that worked with my old job. I got an email with the interview location and time soon after. The actual interview felt more like a meet and greet with the District Team Lead, lasting about an hour since I had questions too. She asked some STAR questions, and then told me she was really interested in moving me to the next step. The next step is an interview with the District Manager, who makes the hiring choice. The District Team Lead got me a same-day interview with the District Manager. This interview was also like a meet and greet, and he was easy to talk to. He didn't ask standard questions but wanted to hear about my career goals. He threw in a couple of curveballs which I handled well. This interview was about 30-45 minutes. Right after, he offered me a position at a nearby location. Now I just need to accept, provide info for the background check, and take a drug test!

So I had 1 phone interview and then 3 in person ones. They seemed super interested and led me to believe they really wanted to hire me. But then they started talking about how they don't pay more than $12 an hour to start, even for experienced people. And apparently they're trying to phase out the live-in manager spots, which is a shame because that's one of the best perks. They really don't pay over $15/hr, no matter what. They're always looking for people willing to work unpaid overtime and get rid of their higher-paid staff. The last interview was with the location manager, and after all the talk, I never got an offer. I got a rejection letter in the mail. The whole thing took about a month.
