I had a phone screening and then one in-person interview where I talked to two people. The questions weren't too hard. They asked two technical questions: one was to describe an accounting word (which I didn't know since I didn't major in accounting) and the other was about recognizing accrual basis accounting (AP/AR), which was pretty simple.

I had a positive interview experience. A recruiter contacted me about this role, and while I wasn't actively searching, I'm open to new opportunities because growth can happen unexpectedly. I went through two screening calls with recruiters and had one scheduled interview with the hiring manager. The whole process was great, except that the hiring manager didn't respond to my follow-up emails or acknowledge basic courtesies, which was disappointing after we connected well during the interview. It's important to have mutual respect for everyone's time during the interview process. However, the hiring manager was enthusiastic about the company, their department's future, and the organization's overall outlook, showing they care about their team and the company.

I had a few interviews and they went really well, but then after that, I didn't hear anything back. They didn't answer my calls or emails. The communication was really bad.
