Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Express Scripts.
Intern
The interview process started with a phone call from a recruiter who asked some basic questions about my background. After that, there was a short follow-up panel interview with a few managers. A major reason I didn't accept the offer was a negative experience with HR. My initial phone interview got rescheduled twice, both times on the day of the interview. Then, I only got two days notice for the second round interview and they wouldn't be flexible at all. I received the offer a week later over the phone. The recruiter called me by the wrong name and then didn't confirm the offer response date (even after I contacted them multiple times) until the day before it was due. They only gave me one week to decide and there was no negotiation. Individually, any of these issues might not be a big deal, but all together, I felt it reflected poorly on the company.

Intern
The whole process was pretty smooth and everybody was so nice to me. They basically focused on my personal experiences and how I deal with some potential problems. I think what the interviewers showed me was the spirit of this amazing company---they are energetic, creative, and always curious. This is a great place to work in.
- Can you share an instance where you handled a project involving data?
Intern
The interview process consisted of two main stages. Initially, there was a phone interview with the recruiter, followed by an on-site interview involving the recruiting team managers. The entire experience, from the initial contact by the recruiter to the conclusion, spanned approximately three weeks.
- Can you describe your experience with research?
