Trips Manager
It was a really straightforward and chill process. The hiring manager was super nice and easy to chat with. They'll need two references to complete reference forms that EXPLO will send them. Just get a basic understanding of the program and the job, and you should be good.
- How would you handle delays with field trips or student transport to/from airports?
Instructor
To apply, send in an online essay, resume, and your completed course listing to show your interest in teaching content-specific courses. If they like your application, you'll do one or more Skype interviews with administrators. The Skype interview is casual and conversational, mostly asking about your student and teaching experiences. You'll need to talk about ideas for specific lessons and present an "explo-cized" activity idea – basically, a hands-on, student-focused activity that gets students exploring the content in a fresh, exciting way. After this, you might interview with another administrator, or you could get a job offer within the week.
- How do you handle conflicts?
- Can you share some engaging and novel activities for your lesson plans in the _____ course?
Staff
Had a Skype interview with senior management. It went well and felt thorough and welcoming. I was a little misled about the depth of the responsibilities, though. The whole process was fast and felt personal. They asked me relevant questions based on what I submitted. The questions were easy for me, and if you have decent people skills, you should find it easy too.
- Can you describe past situations where you had to think quickly?
Office Manager
The interview process with Explo was enjoyable and quite straightforward. I had about three to five phone calls with various managers. They asked me different questions about my background and experience. I got an offer in about two to three months.
- Could you introduce yourself and explain your interest in this role?
