First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Expicient.
Software Engineer
I first met them at a career fair and got an on-campus interview offer. The on-campus interview had two rounds. The first round included behavioral questions and some simple technical questions like differentiating between a web app and a server app, and a math problem (power(6,6)). They emphasized the travel requirement for the job and asked specific questions based on my resume experience. The second round was a brain teaser, for example, the classic light bulb and switch puzzle. After that, I had another on-site interview, which was a bit unusual. It started with some casual conversation, then they only asked for a bubble sort implementation, which surprised me as I expected more technical questions. Later, we scheduled a web session to discuss a project I had worked on. The interviewer was late, which wasn't a great impression. Interestingly, they also asked for my suggestions on their interview process, which caught me off guard.
- Can you solve the puzzle about the light bulbs and switches?
Software Engineer
So first there was this written test, it had some logical reasoning, quant, and programming language questions. After I passed that, the interviews began. The first interview had basic questions on Java, C, and C++. Then came the second phase, where they asked about my project (definitely study your project well). After passing the second round, it was the final round. They asked me to pick a topic for a presentation and gave me about 30 minutes to prepare. My presentation was short, only 10 minutes, and then they asked me some questions about it. About 30 minutes after that, they told me I got selected.
- Could you give a presentation on a topic you choose?
Software Engineer
There was one round of technical questions where they asked about technologies I'm familiar with. The questions were of medium difficulty, and they expected good answers.
- Can you explain what a constructor is and the different types of constructors?
