Software Engineer
So, I had this recruiter call and then a team chat, and it seemed like I was going to do an onsite interview. But then the recruiter switched it up to a video interview. Before that, they messed up the time and called me when they thought the interview was supposed to start. The actual interview was okay, it went for about 4 hours over video, and I think I got most of the questions right. I was waiting to hear back, but it's been a week and still nothing. I'm really eager to know, so I emailed them and got a call back super fast. They told me I didn't get it, with a really weak excuse. It feels like they never wanted to hire me from the start, so they didn't want to pay for my travel for the onsite, treated the whole thing casually, and then just rejected me anyway. Seriously, they wasted so much of my time and effort! If they thought I wasn't good enough, they should have just rejected me upfront.

I applied online. Got a Hackerrank test which was pretty easy. Then they set up a tech screen over Zoom. The person interviewing me was super nice and helpful. They started asking some background questions and then gave me a coding problem. I got really nervous and didn't understand the question right, ending up writing code with bugs. The interviewer pointed out the mistakes, but I couldn't fix it because I froze up. After the interview, I got an email saying I wasn't moving forward. The recruiter was really helpful all through the process.
- Tell me about the top k elements problem.
Software Engineer
It was a really professional interview. First, there was a phone screen where they told me about the company and the job, and I could ask questions. Then, they set up an onsite interview at a time that worked for me. Experticity has a really positive and welcoming vibe, which I noticed right away when I got there. At the onsite, I met with different people from the team, like the IT director, a business analyst/project manager, and some other programmers. They explained the company's main goals and plans and asked for my opinions and ideas. I also got to ask them questions. After that, I had a technical interview for the role. I showed them some of my previous work and answered questions to check my technical knowledge and skills. It felt pretty relaxed and professional. I also asked about their current projects and how they approach technical challenges. Finally, I had a chance to ask any remaining questions. All in all, the interview experience was great.
- Can you explain the purpose and lifecycle of an Activity?
