First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Expand Energy.
Accountant
The University Relations team reached out to me about a week after I applied to set up an interview for later that week. I got about two days' notice, so make sure you're ready to research the company beforehand. They asked some things about my resume, but it was mostly behavioral questions. The interview was on webcam and only lasted 20 minutes. Three people from the accounting department asked the questions, and they were all really encouraging. You should have some questions ready for them too, to show you're serious about the internship. I only had this one interview before they offered me the job.
- What do you dislike most about working at _________?
Accountant
It was basic questions, the interviewer didn't ask anything in depth.
- What do you know about this company?
Accountant
We started with some initial interviews on campus. Then, a few of us were chosen to go to the company headquarters for a full day of interviews. During the day at headquarters, I met with the intern mentor for each accounting department. The idea was to figure out where each of us would be the best fit. We also got a tour of the campus and had lunch with other people applying for the role and the mentors.
- No question was too difficult.
