Behavioral Technical Coding System Design

I had an initial phone screening with HR, and then a week later, the VP of Engineering called me for a 30-minute phone interview focusing on my past experience. The following week, I came in for an in-person interview with a few parts. First, I spent an hour with a Senior Architect and a Team Lead, discussing my past projects in more technical detail and answering some behavioral questions, which concluded with a whiteboarding coding challenge. After that, I had a 45-minute session with the VP of Engineering and the HR Manager, which was purely for personality assessment. Everyone was really nice and respectful, and I actually enjoyed the whole thing. The HR manager even hinted that they liked me and asked me to keep them updated on other offers so they could potentially speed things up. After about a week and a few follow-up emails, the HR person told me they had positive feedback, but the new VP of technologies had apparently re-evaluated everything, and the position was no longer available. This left a really bad impression, and I wouldn't consider interviewing with them again. The employees seem great, but the leadership and company policies are questionable.

Technical Coding

This was one of the best interview processes I've had. It started with a technical phone interview. After that, I was given a technical project to complete at my own pace over a week. I really enjoyed this process because, unlike many companies, Exiger focused on assessing my ability to build a project, which reflects the actual day-to-day work. I think this is a much better approach than what most big tech companies do, expecting candidates to grind LeetCode problems for a month. The team seemed really passionate about their work, and I wish them the best.

HR was respectful of your time and super responsive. The engineers were easy to chat with, knowledgeable and there to guide you when needed. Overall great experience. There were 4 rounds. 1 with HR, an online coding test, 1 in-person and a final phone call.
