Consultant
I applied for a Senior Consultant position. First, I had a short HR call about why I wanted the job and my experience. Then, I was supposed to have a 60-minute video interview with two managing directors. I tried to suggest times for this interview multiple times but HR never got back to me. I followed up twice and they didn't respond. It was really unprofessional.

Senior Consultant
The hiring process started off a bit disorganized, with some lateness to scheduled calls, which made me feel like my time wasn't prioritized. I had an initial HR phone screening that was about 15-20 minutes, where they covered basic company info and the role. Exiger had contacted me via LinkedIn for this position. Following that, I had two interviews scheduled: one with my potential manager locally and another with an executive in New York. Both of these went well. I was then informed about a third executive in New York who might serve as a tiebreaker, but I was told I likely wouldn't interview with them. However, I did end up interviewing with this third senior executive as well, and that conversation also went well. It seems they wanted multiple opinions or perhaps one of the earlier interviewers needed a second opinion. I really enjoyed the last two executive interviews the most because they felt more like conversations. After the interviews, I was given a research assessment to complete within three hours, based on a prompt and subject provided by HR. This assessment went very well; it was a unique and enjoyable experience. Although I received a good offer, I had to decline because the health coverage was too expensive. Even with the salary increase, the high cost of healthcare meant my net pay would be similar to my current job, offering no real financial gain. The work itself seemed like what I was looking for, but the overall compensation package wasn't sufficient.
- How would you describe your leadership style?
- Can you share an instance where you guided a team through unclear situations?
- Do you tend to observe from the sidelines or actively assist your team when they need help?
Senior Consultant
So there was this one interview with a Director from NY, then another interview with the team manager. After that, I had to do a written assessment, which was a case study to find risks, which was new to me. Then it was on to the offer and background check.
- Can you share details about your previous work experience?
- What is your motivation for leaving your present role?
- What are your skills, and can you provide examples of how you've applied them to achieve results in your current position?
