I was in class when the recruiter called, and I missed it so he left a message. I called him right back after class, but he didn't pick up so I left another message. He called back two days later, again while I was in class. I called him back after class and he didn't pick up, so I left another message and called again about two hours later. He finally picked up and asked if I had a few minutes to chat about the job. I said yes, thinking he'd ask about my resume or referrals. Instead, he jumped straight into a formal phone interview, which surprised me because his voicemails never said it was an interview. He asked about my strengths and weaknesses, what I know about the company, my GPA, why I'd be good for the role, and how I manage doing multiple things at once. I did my best given the surprise, but didn't expect a callback since I wasn't ready. My advice: prepare some notes for a phone interview after applying, and be ready for a call that might be an actual interview without warning.

I had one phone interview that was about 30 minutes long and mostly behavioral questions. It was pretty standard, and the interviewer was really nice. They care a lot about community involvement and being eco-friendly.
