First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Exela Technologies.
Python Developer
For freshers, the interview process usually has a few stages like aptitude tests, technical interviews, and then HR. A lot of companies today expect freshers to know advanced stuff, especially practical things like file handling and OOPS concepts in programming. They don't just want theoretical answers; they'll actually ask you to write and run code. You might also get problem-solving questions where you have to use OOPS ideas like inheritance, polymorphism, and encapsulation in coding challenges. Having hands-on projects and practicing coding problems can really help your chances.
- Can you discuss a project listed on my resume?
- What are your thoughts on file handling in Python?
- Can you elaborate on OOPS concepts?
Product Manager
You'll start with a screening call, maybe over the phone or video, with the hiring manager or recruiter. After that, there'll be a few technical interviews with the dev team or experts. They also use resume screening, coding tests, and case studies to see how you think. The last step is usually a meeting in person with the top brass.
- Can you introduce yourself and explain how you'd make a difference as a Product Manager?
HR Analyst
First, they'll look at your resume to see if you're a good fit for the HR analyst job. Then, there might be a quick chat, maybe over the phone or video, with a recruiter or someone from HR to go over your background and why you want this specific HR analyst role. After that, they might give you a test to check your analytical skills, how well you know HR software, and if you understand HR rules. Finally, you'll likely have interviews with HR managers or team members who will ask you questions about how you've handled things in the past, like solving problems, working with others, and dealing with tough situations.
- Could you tell me about your background in HR analytics?
- What steps do you take to guarantee HR data is accurate and reliable?
- Share an instance where you utilized data analysis to address an HR issue.
Technical Writer
The hiring process was nice, I had a good talk with the recruiters. We agreed on an offer, and I accepted it. They told me to wait 15-30 days for them to set things up. After a couple of weeks, I got an email saying they were calling off the agreement and had hired someone else. They didn't give a reason, just said it wasn't about my skills or personality. This was really disappointing because I'd turned down other offers, thinking we had a deal. If it was about money, they could have just said they needed to reconsider, but making an agreement and then breaking it is unprofessional and a letdown.
- What made you apply for this role?
- What led you to choose technical writing as a career?
