I had a phone screen with the recruiter, who was great to work with at the company. After that, I had a zoom interview with the CEO. I was then emailed about whether I advanced to the next step in the interview process.

I applied on their website and got a call about a week later with more specific questions about my application. Then, a few days after that, I had an official phone interview. After the phone interview, they invited me for an onsite interview in South Jordan. It was a pretty standard interview where the questions focused on my experience and expertise, basically to see if I had the skills and personality for the job. The people I met were nice and made a good impression of the company. About a week after the in-person interview, I got an offer. We then talked about the offer details and I decided to accept.

I started by filling out some paperwork, then took a short quiz. I knew I didn't ace the test because it was mostly Windows questions, not really Linux-related. They even asked about Outlook files for a Linux Admin role! I checked the qualifications and felt I was a good fit. The interview included questions about my past work and how I handle angry customers. Then, we discussed company culture, the schedule, and how things operate. After that, we talked about the interview process and that I'd meet the CEO in the next round. He made it seem like I'd move on if I passed this stage. When I asked about the test, he said I did 'fine' and it was just to gauge my current level. I admitted I probably didn't do great since it was mostly Windows questions and I'm a Linux person. I asked if he had any technical questions, and he said no. I left feeling uncertain, wondering why he didn't ask job-specific questions like 'Where are Apache logs located in CentOS or Ubuntu?' or 'What are the default ports for HTTP, FTP, and SSH?' They just gave me a 10-question test at the start to see my technical aptitude.

I remember my interview at Executech a while back. I spoke with the Owner. The interview focused more on professionalism than technical skills, though there were some tech questions. It seemed like they were looking for dedicated professionals who could learn the tech. I was so impressed I called my wife right after and said, 'I've finally found a place that does IT the way I would!' I still feel that way today.
