First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Excellus BlueCross BlueShield.
Intern
Submitted my application and after a few weeks, I had a phone screening that was about 35 minutes long. The following week, they set up an in-person interview. It felt pretty casual and it seemed like they had already decided to hire me. I got the offer 3 days later and accepted it.
- Tell me about a time you were on a team and someone wasn't contributing positively, and what did you do about it?
Intern
So, there are two interviews. The first one is about 20 minutes, and the second one is a bit longer, like 30 to 40 minutes. The first interview is with HR, and they'll ask you some behavioral questions. Then, for the second interview, the team members will ask you questions related to the job you're applying for.
- Have you done quantitative data analytics before?
Intern
I had a phone interview for the summer internship program. It was with an HR person and the head of the department I'd be working in. It lasted about 30 minutes. They mainly asked behavioral questions and asked about software I knew for the job. It felt pretty standard.
- Tell me about a mistake you made, how you dealt with it, and what happened as a result.
