Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Excella.
Senior Consultant
There were 4 rounds in total. First, a call with the Recruiter, then a few chats with some senior employees, then a meeting with one of the Owners, and if everything went well, a meet and greet with the Client.
- Describe a situation where a client said X, and what you would do.
- How would you approach dealing with a difficult team member?
Consultant
The interview process was great. Everyone was super approachable. The initial HR screening made me feel like it was a good fit. I was really looking forward to discussing my area of interest with the managing consultant in the second interview. They were accommodating even though I wasn't local. The final interview with the partners went really well and wasn't as scary as I expected. The whole time, the team was really open and helpful with any questions I had.
- If you were stuck on a deserted island, what single book would you choose to have with you?
Consultant
First, there's an HR interview to screen you. Then, you get an online test covering logic, numbers, and behavior. Finally, you'll interview with at least one senior staff member. It's pretty straightforward.
- What motivates your interest in our company?
- What are your career aspirations in this role?
