I first got in touch with Excelacom through my university's recruiting efforts and then a recruiter from HR reached out to me. The first couple of steps were phone interviews. One was with HR, and after that, I had a more technical phone interview to check out my technical abilities. The third step involved a visit to their office in Reston. We had a panel discussion where they told us about the company's history and we got to meet the CEO. After that, we broke off into one-on-one interviews with some of the more senior managers. There were two interviews, each lasting 30 minutes, and they were mainly behavioral and situational questions about consulting and why I was interested in joining their company. I think there was also some background check involved.

Technical Behavioral

This was honestly the worst interview experience I've ever had. They scheduled a first phone interview, but the recruiter never called. I emailed HR, and we rescheduled for a second phone interview. Again, nobody called. On the third try, I finally had the phone interview. After that, I went in for a personal interview which consisted of 3 one-on-one rounds with different employees. I received the offer letter a month and a half later, which was already a month later than they promised. Despite getting the offer, I had to decline due to the terrible experience with HR. They were extremely unprofessional, inexperienced, and rude, and never even apologized for missing calls or sending an email to explain the rescheduling.

The first step was a recruiter call via Skype where I had to pitch myself and explain why they should hire me. If I passed that, I got a link for an aptitude test. If I passed that too, I got an interview call for an in-person interview in Chennai. Just so you know, every stage is an elimination round, and there's a 3-year bond if you get the job.
