Software Engineer
The interview process started with a recruiter call, then a technical interview covering coding and theory on JavaScript, React, TypeScript, React Query, GraphQL, jQuery, and Git. They also touched on Agile/Scrum. Following that, there was an HR interview with general questions and an English check. The final stage was a client project interview where we discussed project needs and how we'd work together.
- Can you share your real-world experience using React and JavaScript?
- How do you go about structuring components when you're building with React?
- What are your methods for managing state within React projects?
Software Engineer
I had a screening call with a recruiter. The recruiter was nice but unprepared. I was told I would be followed up with that same day, but I was ghosted. I don't think the recruiter was given the info they needed to properly conduct the call.
- What is polymorphism?
- What is encapsulation?
- What is inheritance?
Senior Software Engineer
This interview experience was really disappointing, honestly. It felt like a repeat of my last time here a couple years ago. Their camera policy is confusing – they wanted me to turn mine on, but they didn't bother. Made things awkward from the start. The main problem was how uninterested and unprepared the interviewers seemed. They had no clue who I was or why I was even there. They even admitted they couldn't answer my questions about the project because they knew nothing about it. If they don't know the project, why ask me random questions? The whole thing was just a boring list of generic questions you find on sites like 'top Ruby interview questions.' Nothing related to the actual job or project, making the 90 minutes feel like a waste of time. Plus, the recruiter and interviewers were pretty disrespectful, passive-aggressive, and sometimes just plain rude. Their lack of professionalism and basic manners was pretty shocking. I wouldn't recommend applying here unless they seriously change how they do recruitment and interviews.
- Can you explain ACID principles?
- Could you describe what MVC (Model - View - Controller) is?
