It was pretty thorough, three rounds in total. First, I talked to a recruiter. Then, I met with two managers from different territories, and both were considering me for their teams. The final round was with the sales director. Each interview lasted about 30 to 45 minutes.

Behavioral Case

So the interview process involved an HR screen, then a manager interview, and then a final round with the regional sales director and the manager. It's tough, especially when they lean towards internal candidates. This has happened to me twice now, which is pretty disappointing.

Behavioral Presentation

This company has an 8-week hiring process from application to decision, which is slower than typical. Expect original start dates to be pushed. HR communicates solely via email for updates, but regret messages are left by voicemail. The interview has four stages, each with a 1-2 week waiting period. Stage 1 is a 30-minute HR phone screen with an entry-level associate. Stage 2 is a 1-hour HR phone screen with an HR manager. Stage 3 is a virtual ZOOM panel with 4 or 5 Inside Sales Managers, each for 30 minutes; block a full workday. Be aware that the shared interview list might not include all attendees, and unannounced people may join. Questions are scripted STAR-method questions with minimal conversational space, requiring you to drive the conversation. Stage 4 is a 30-minute FINAL PHONE interview with a Senior Inside Sales Manager, repeating STAR method questions from Stage 3, especially 'why you want to work here,' which is asked repeatedly. Research the company's core values, partnerships (United Way, StandUp2Cancer), and recent acquisitions on MadisonStartUps.com, as these are heavily referenced. For the final stage, the Senior Inside Sales Manager (especially the West Region one, new to the company and from pharmaceutical sales) focuses heavily on sales results and hitting targets; prepare 'own your business' and quota-focused answers. The company offers quota vacation trips, which the Sr. Manager mentioned unprompted. HR will share hourly compensation details in Stage 1 or 2. Full benefits and compensation are emailed after Stage 2. The final decision is made within 2 business days, communicated via voicemail, with no direct hiring manager contact. Feedback is minimal, often generic regrets via voicemail, and no references were requested.
